About the Choteau Youth Alliance
The Choteau Youth Alliance (CYA) was established in Spring 2023 by a group of parents who wanted to do more for Choteau's youth. The CYA is rooted in our belief that many social challenges children face can be overcome through community based actions. Improving the lives of our community's children will not be easy and it will require a true community effort.

The CYA has chosen to initially focus on tackling the childcare crisis that has been a discussion point in Choteau for many years. In 2023, the CYA began to operate the Choteau Youth Summer Camp which was started in 2020 by the volunteers behind the Teton Childcare Project. The summer camp is designed to give parents an affordable summer childcare option that is fun, active, and educational.
Moving into the end of summer 2023, the CYA is poised to launch a licensed daycare. The CYA Daycare will be focused initially on infants through preschool aged children. Our hope is to develop afterschool options for children of all ages at a later point.

As we work to initially address acute childcare issues in Choteau, we have our eyes on expanding Choteau's youth ecosystem and are eager to collaborate with community members, volunteers. businesses, and other organizations.

The CYA is classified as a 509(a)(2) public charity under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC). CYA donors may deduct contributions they make under IRC Section 170. The CYA is also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfer or gifts under IRC Section 2055, 2106, or 2522.
